Welcome to MycoGest! This guide will support you step by step to manage your mushroom farm, from ordering mycelium to selling your harvest.

What is MycoGest?

MycoGest is a web application designed specifically for professional mushroom producers. It helps you manage all aspects of your operation:

  • Production : Batch management, tracking cultivation phases, recording harvests
  • Stock : Mycelium, consumables, fresh and dried mushrooms
  • Commercial : Clients, sales, deliveries and traceability
  • Finance : Expenses, income, profitability calculation per batch

๐Ÿ”ค Base Vocabulary

๐Ÿงซ Mycelium
This is the mushroom 'seed', the spawn you buy from a specialized supplier to inoculate your substrates.
๐ŸŒพ Substrate
The nutrient mixture (straw, wheat bran, etc.) in which the mycelium will grow.
๐Ÿ’ผ Batch / Lot
A set of production bags that were prepared at the same time (example: 50 oyster mushroom bags made on the same day).
๐Ÿ”ฌ Inoculation
The action of putting the mycelium into the sterilized substrate to start colonization.
๐ŸŒฑ Incubation
Phase where the mycelium colonizes the substrate (spawn invades the bag). Lasts about 10-14 days.
๐Ÿ„ Fruiting
Phase where the mushrooms appear and grow. This is where they can be harvested.
โœ‚๏ธ Flush
A harvest 'wave'. One batch can produce 2-3 flushes spaced a few days apart.
๐Ÿ“ฆ Consumables
All the material you buy: plastic bags, straw, wheat bran, packaging, etc.
