Welcome to the complete documentation of MycoGest! This guide will accompany you step by step to manage your mushroom farm, from ordering mycelium to selling your harvest.
๐ค Core Vocabulary
- ๐งซ Mycelium
- It's the 'seed' of the mushroom, the white substance you buy from a specialized supplier to inoculate your substrates.
- ๐พ Substrate
- The nutrient mixture (straw, wheat bran, etc.) in which the mycelium will develop.
- ๐ผ Batch / Lot
- A set of production bags that were prepared at the same time (example: 50 bags of oyster mushrooms made on the same day).
- ๐ฌ Inoculation
- The action of putting the mycelium into the sterilized substrate to start colonization.
- ๐ฑ Incubation
- Phase where the mycelium colonizes the substrate (the white substance invades the bag). Lasts about 10-14 days.
